Redcar Telephone Exchange is unlikely to win any awards for architecture, although the two colours of brick do suggest it was extended at some point.
One of the few interesting features is the 1955 carved date stone next to the door.

When the new Morrison’s/Regent’s walk area was built it would have made sense to demolish this building and build a new one elsewhere.
This was not done because there’s a lot of sensitive information that travels through the cables to this building…
