Old Lookout, South Terrace, Redcar Posted on November 19, 2010 by chris.twigg Show on map The central houses on South Terrace still have a fishermans lookout post, although its view of the sea is now obscured by subsequent buildings. The houses were built in 1854 and have also been known as Fishermans Row and Zetland Square. I wondered that as well, maybe there was a trapdoor at sometime in the past.
Seen this loads of times, never knew what it was. Thanks.
