What I think is in our favour is the fact that redevelopment in our area has generally been slow over the years, meaning that various remnants are still present today. There was also little restitution required in the past, so prospectors could very easily close down a site and walk away. I believe that nowadays tougher rules apply and any sites that cease must be returned to their original state.
