Teesside Eclipse of the Sun, 29/06/1927

Geotag Icon Show on map

Inspired by todays eclipse of the moon, Teesside was on the path of totality during the 1927 solar eclipse as shown by this poster.

The AA placed signs along the path of totality and one still exists in Richmond.

  1. I run a website dedicated to historical and new maps of solar eclipse paths, http://www.eclipse-maps.com. The website features and documents over 1,000 historical eclipse maps at http://www.eclipse-maps.com/Eclipse-Maps/History/History.html

I would like to add this poster to the website as it is a very attractive poster of a significant eclipse. Is is possible to acquire a higher-resolution image of this poster? Will you grant me permission to post it on my web site?

    Thank you, Michael Zeiler
