This guidestone is set back from the current road and is no longer marked on any Ordnance Survey maps.
One face carries the inscription “Whitby Road”
Another what I read as “Peckrin Road” so most likely a variant spelling of Pickering.
The initials “TH” are also found on on side.

Hi Chris ‘TH’ is most likely Thomas Harewood of Glaisdale. He inscribed a number of stones in the area.
